Applications my be submitted
online by going to
http://www.ode.state.oh.us and type GED in Search box. You will have to sign up for a SAFE
account. You will need your driver's license, Social Security number, and valid
email address. Once you have a "SAFE ACCOUNT" you may register to take the GED
test.

A hard copy application may also be
sent to the state GED office. These applications may be printed off the internet from the site listed above.

The cost of taking the GED test is $40.
You will need to submit a certified check in this amount to the state GED office or use a major credit card.
Fee Waivers are no longer available.

Call
Allen Meinerding, (419-394-8359) to register to take the test after you have submitted your
application to State GED Office.

You may also schedule to take the test
online once your application has been approved.

Examiner will call you to verify your
application has been approved and that you have been scheduled to test.

Arrive at testing site by 11:45 a.m.
with photo ID ( driver's license, Ohio ID card, passport).

On the first day, Writing will be
administered beginning at 12:00 Noon., followed by Social Studies.

On the second day, Math will be
administered beginning at 12:00 Noon, followed by Reading and Science
